If you're happy with your rabbit pet insurance quote, you can choose to pay annually or monthly. You're free to pay up front for the whole year in one lump sum or spread the cost via monthly installments. With some providers, you may have to pay more when choosing to pay monthly, but that's not how we hop here at Everypaw.

Yes, you should expect the cost of your pet rabbit's insurance to go up every year. It's not something we want to do. Still, it's a reality of insurance, and Rabbit insurance isn't like some insurance cover you may be familiar with. As your bunny gets older, there's a greater risk that they'll get ill or develop conditions, which increases the risk of claims.

Every year, we carefully consider your bunny getting older, the claims you've made, rising vet fees, and how we evaluate risk. Adding it all together means your insurance will go up, even if you haven't made a claim. There's no limit on how much the price can go up, and these could be significant to you each year and over the policy's lifetime. If you make claims on your policy, the cost could more than double when you renew.

While you might think it's a good idea to switch because the price has gone up, remember that pre-existing conditions are often not covered. So, if your rabbit has an ongoing condition, finding cover for it could be difficult.

If you need to cancel your rabbit's policy, you can log in to the Pet Portal and cancel it on your pet policy page. Answer a few questions, and we'll sort everything for you.

If your rabbit has sadly passed away, we know how hard it is to lose a loved one. PawSquad will always be available to support you with bereavement counselling.

If you cancel your policy within 14 days and haven't made a claim, you'll be entitled to a full refund. If you cancel after 14 days, you'll be entitled to a pro-rata refund as long as you haven't claimed.

The cost of rabbit vaccinations is not covered by our pet rabbit insurance because they are classed as routine and preventative treatment. If your vet recommends a vaccination and you decide against it, your rabbit may not be covered if they later become ill with a condition that could have been prevented by that vaccine.

Routine and elective treatments, like neutering, are not covered across our pet insurance range. This also applies to routine vet check-ups, vaccinations, boosters and treatment for conditions that routine vaccinations could have prevented.

Everypaw can help towards the cost of dental treatment for your rabbit up to your vet fee limit if your bunny needs treatment as a result of a dental condition, related condition, accidental injury or to relieve suffering.

To be covered, you’ll need to have kept up with your rabbit’s annual check-ups and followed any vet advice within 6 months of seeing them.

There are some routine treatments Everypaw doesn't cover, including:

• Check-ups

• Burring
• Rasping
• Treatment for baby rabbit’s teeth if your pet is over 16 weeks old at the policy start date

Yes, Everypaw Rabbit Insurance has no upper age limit, so you can still get cover for an older rabbit.

As your little thumper gets older, they can be more likely to experience for the odd mis-hop here and there. That’s why it’s good to make sure your little bunny is covered throughout their entire life with pet rabbit insurance. There’s no upper age limit to cover so you can have peace of mind while caring for your older rabbit.
