What is Lifetime Pet Insurance?
Our Lifetime Pet Insurance is exactly that. We’re here for your pet for their entire lifetime. There are no age limits on any of our policies. All you need to do is buy one, renew every year, and our Lifetime cover really will be for their lifetime.
Pet Lifetime Insurance can give you that extra peace of mind. Having reassurance that new illnesses or injuries your pet develops will be covered, without the risk of them ever being excluded, is second to none. Your vet fee limit renews every year, so you’ll never run out of cover permanently.

Benefits of Pet Insurance with Lifetime Cover
You may be wondering, "Is pet insurance worth it?". Well, Everypaw's Lifetime Cover Pet Insurance is our most comprehensive policy, but what does that mean? What sets Lifetime apart from the rest?
Firstly, when it comes to your vet fee limit, you don't have to worry about it expiring. Every year, the limit renews for you to start all over again.
With Lifetime, there isn't the fear that conditions will become excluded after 12 months or when the benefit runs out. When it comes to new conditions, you're sorted. Even if they're ongoing or re-occur after a couple of years, those new conditions will always be covered.
Our Lifetime Pet Insurance Cover is one type of policy that offers a range of cover levels. Simply decide which level is best for you and your furry friend by choosing from annual limits between £1,000 and £10,000.
How to Make a Claim on Pet Insurance with Lifetime Cover
Making a claim on your pet insurance can be daunting, especially because something unexpected has happened. That’s why we’ve got Vet Pawtal. In Vet Pawtal, your vet submits your claims, so you don’t have to. It’s quick and easy and makes the whole claims process super-efficient.
If you have to submit the claim, you can log in to our dedicated Pet Portal to make your claim. Alternatively, you can download a claim form, but this can take longer than submitting your claim online. If you need to claim Third Party Liability, please refer to the guidance on your policy documents.

Lifetime Pet Insurance FAQs
Let's say you've taken out our Lifetime £4k. That gives you £4,000 to cover vet costs and treatment over the year if your pet falls ill or has an accident. Just renew your cover, and that's up to £4,000 of cover every year.
That £4,000 is there for the additional benefits too – so, if your pet went walkabouts one day and got lost, you could claim up to £1,500 from the £4,000 to help find them. And again, your vet fee limit resets every year at renewal, allowing you to start all over again.
There are a few things you’ll need to bear in mind, though. For example:
- If you reach your limit in the year, you’ll need to cover treatment costs until the limit resets.
- Pre-existing conditions are not covered, only new conditions under your policy.
- Conditions are only covered for your pet’s lifetime as long as you insure your pet with us, under the original policy and without a break in cover.
If you switch, previous illnesses can be seen as pre-existing conditions, resulting in exclusions being placed on the new policy. This would leave you liable for treatment costs if that condition re-occurs. Make sure to check our pet insurance exclusions and eligibility before taking out one of our policies.
As part of your cover, Everypaw’s Lifetime Pet Insurance includes benefits covered by your vet fees up to the policy limit. For example, if your pet goes missing or needs treatment overseas, or you need to cancel a holiday because they’re poorly, we can help.
We don’t stop there, either. Every lifetime policy comes with access to PawSquad. PawSquad gives you 24/7 access to experienced vets. So, if you ever worry about your pet's health or behaviour, you can jump on a video call or a live chat, and they’ll be there for you.
We’re also trying to make managing your policy easier too. Now no one likes paperwork! That’s why we’ve created the Pet Portal. Make a claim, read your docs, account preferences – it’s all there.
That depends, which is the best pet insurance comes down to your and your pet's needs.
While Pet Lifetime Insurance is seen as the most comprehensive cover, the best is the one that suits your circumstances. You should consider your pet's age, their medical history, if their breed is prone to certain conditions and the price.
The best will be the one that ticks all the boxes now and as they mature into an older pet.
If you’ve done your research and have a good understanding of your pet’s needs, you should have an idea of which Lifetime cover suits you best.
If you want all your pets in your pet portal, take advantage of our Multi-Pet Insurance. This can be done quickly when you take out your new policy; just follow our instructions:
- Make sure you have your existing policy number handy
- Start a new quote for Pet Lifetime Insurance Cover
- Fill in your pet’s details and make sure you use the same email address
- Select a level of cover and continue to our Review your quote page
- Scroll down to the Multi-Pet discount section and click Add existing pet policy
- Enter your existing policy number and click the Add existing pet button
We’ll get everything sorted for you by matching your policies and adding your multi-pet discount. And once the new policy is in our system, we’ll add your new pet to the Pet Portal.
