With their fluffy tails and floppy ears, rabbits are adorable – but they can also be curious little pals who love a snoop around. So, when it comes to this kind of mischief, it can help to have your fluffy bunny covered with our pet rabbit insurance.
Whether you’re looking to cover an affectionate Miniature Lop, friendly Lionhead, gentle British Giant or another breed of bunny, You can take out insurance for rabbits from the age of 8 weeks, and you can rest easy knowing our Lifetime policies will look after them well into old age.

Rabbit Insurance for Older Rabbits
As your little thumper gets older, they can be more likely to experience for the odd mis-hop here and there. That’s why it’s good to make sure your little bunny is covered throughout their entire life with pet rabbit insurance. There’s no upper age limit to cover so you can have peace of mind while caring for your older rabbit.

Rabbit Insurance FAQs
Rabbits are only dinky, and you might think they won't need rabbit insurance. It's your decision but these fluffy little furballs can still get into mischief or fall ill and, when that happens, you could end up at the vets and be left with costly bills. Rabbit pet insurance can help cover those unexpected moments that can leave you out of pocket.
Keeping your bunny inside might mean that they are safer than if they were outside. But these mischevious little hoppers can get into trouble anywhere you keep them, so insurance for house rabbits is still a good idea.
Plus, with Everypaw Rabbit Insurance you get the added peace of mind of knowing that trained veterinary professionals are just a phone call away, no matter the time or day, with Petcall.
Your total rabbit insurance cost will vary depending on certain factors, including breed, age and where you live. We take all of this information into account before offering you a quote.
If you're happy with your rabbit pet insurance quote, you can choose to pay in one of two ways. You're free to pay up front for the whole year in one lump sum or spread the cost via monthly instalments. With some providers, you may have to pay more when choosing to pay monthly, but that's not how we hop here at Everypaw.
Our rabbit pet insurance in the UK is there to help cover your little hopper for any new illness or injury they come down with. Our Lifetime policies can help care for your rabbit for their whole lives, even if they develop a long-term condition. There are three levels of Everypaw Lifetime Rabbit Insurance to choose from, so you can select the cover that suits you and your bunny the best.
If your furry friend decides that digging is a great way to pass the time and performs a great escape, we can help. Our Finding Your Rabbit benefit can help with a contribution towards locating your bunny – including local advertising expenses and rewards.
If they ever come a cropper or tweak a paw in the garden, you can count on us. Our rabbit policies can also help towards the cost of complementary treatment or physio your vet has prescribed.
We have your bunny's back so, to keep those feet lucky, our pet rabbit insurance policies come with some handy membership benefits.
If you feel something's not quite right and you're concerned about your rabbit's health, there's Petcall. Petcall is our UK-based 24/7 service where you can talk to a veterinary team over the phone or via live chat. Our fully qualified UK veterinary nurses and vets can help whenever you need a little rabbit care advice.
To help make managing your policy easier, there's the Pet Portal, our online pet hub. Here, you can go paperless and keep your Certificate of Insurance and policy documents safe and secure whenever you need them. You can check your vet fee limits, manage your account preferences and arrange a chat with Petcall.
But the really helpful thing is that you can make vet fee claims online. Just fill out and submit the online form and we'll ping it straight to the vet for you!
The cost of rabbit vaccinations is not covered by our pet rabbit insurance. And if your vet recommends a vaccination and you decide against it, you won't be covered if your bundle of joy then falls ill with a condition that could've been prevented by that vaccine.
Routine and elective treatments, like neutering, are not covered across our Pet Inusurance range.
The same goes for any vet check-ups, vaccinations, boosters or treatment for conditions that routine vaccinations could've prevented.
We're happy to help towards the cost of dental treatment for your rabbit up to your vet fee limit if your bunny needs treatment as a result of a dental condition, related condition, accidental injury or to relieve suffering. But you need to have kept up with your annual check-ups and acted on any vet advice within 6 months of seeing them.
We're happy to help wherever we can with rabbit's teeth. But there are some things that we're not able to cover, like routine treatments such as:
- Check-ups
- Preventative trimming
- Burring
- Rasping
- Treatment for baby teeth if your pet is over 16 weeks old at the policy start date
What makes for a happy bunny? It’s probably not insurance. But taking the policy admin hassle off your shoulders can help. Just follow our 6 steps to add another pet to your policy:
- Make sure you have your existing policy number handy
- Get your rabbit insurance quote here
- Fill in your pet’s details and make sure you use the same email address
- Select a level of cover and continue to our Review your quote page
- Scroll down to the Multi-pet discount section and click Add existing pet policy
- Enter your existing policy number and click the Add existing pet button
We match your policies, add your multi-pet discount, you take out the policy, and then we add your new bunny to your Pet Portal. Done.
